FAQ: Why is there a "+1" or "-1" on the Time Card?

Last Updated: Feb 01, 2017 11:43AM MST
In TimeWorksPlus, on some time cards on will notice a "+1" or a "-1" next to a time.

With the "+1" this is most commonly on an OUT time and is because the OUT punch falls on a different day from the IN punch. Because the way the system was designed any OUT punch regardless of what day it falls on will be matched to it's previous IN punch. For example:

IN 10:00pm - OUT 2:00am +1

With a "-1" next to a time this is most commonly seen when a punch has been pulled back to a previous day using a Yesterday Script/Rule. More on the Yesterday rule can be found here TimeWorks Plus: Yesterday Rule.
